Anette Sellmer
CEO
My name is Anette Sellmer, and I am the owner of Sellmer Clinic. I have been working with fertility since 1998, and I started Sellmer Clinic in Copenhagen in 2009 and Sellmer Clinic Aarhus in 2024 because I want to help women and couples fulfil their desire to have a child.
As I am a mother myself and therefore familiar with the joy of having children, I want to help everyone who has this burning desire to have a child.
In my daily work, I have many different roles, where I try to meet the wishes and needs that may arise in order for the clinic to function optimally so that everyone can do their best for you when you come for treatment at the clinic.
Bodil Marloth Meldgaard
Clinic Manager
My name is Bodil. I am the clinic manager at the Sellmer Clinic in Aarhus. Additionally, I am responsible for the clinic’s sales and marketing. My primary focus is to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic so that you can receive professional treatment. As a mother of a donor child myself, I have personally experienced the journey of fertility treatment and understand the many questions that can arise along the way.
I also prepare the profiles of egg donors in close collaboration with our egg donation coordinators. This role fills me with great gratitude every time I receive materials from an egg donor, as I become aware of the wonderful gift she provides to others.
I originally hold a master’s degree in marketing and tourism, but I have worked for many years in the fertility sector, both in a sperm bank and in fertility clinics. As a result, I possess extensive knowledge of the legislation in various countries.
Margit Dueholm
Physician specialised in fertility treatment
My name is Margit, and I graduated as a specialist in gynecology in Denmark in 1991. I have extensive experience in obstetrics and gynecology. More than 20 years ago, I was trained in fertility treatment. I have many years of experience in reproductive gynecology and have been a specialist at Aarhus University Hospital for over 20 years, where I am responsible for reproductive surgery and benign gynecology. I am an internationally recognized expert in the field of reproductive gynecology, with a particular interest in gynecological ultrasound and binocular surgery of the uterus. I have written textbooks and authored over 100 internationally recognized scientific articles. I have always strived to maintain a high professional standard.
For many years, various fertility clinics in the area referred patients with uterine anomalies to me for treatment, which has provided me with unique experience. Fertility has always been my particular interest, and over the years, I have also worked as a consultant in various fertility clinics. For the past two years, I have exclusively worked in fertility clinics, and now at Sellmer Clinic.
I speak Danish and English. I enjoy treating my patients individually, addressing their specific issues and wishes. Therefore, I strive to involve them in decisions about their treatment.
Anders Faurskov
Physician specialist in gynecology
My name is Anders. I am a trained specialist in gynecology from the hospitals in Aalborg and Hjørring. Additionally, I have specialised in fertility treatment and IVF at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg.

As of February 1, 2025, I have joined Sellmer Fertility Clinic in Aarhus.
Birthe Jørgensen
Laboratory Manager
My name is Birthe, and I have been working in the field of fertility for over 25 years – and I still love it ❤
It is simply fantastic to help others realize their greatest dream. I am a mother myself and know how wonderful it is when that dream comes true.
You will primarily meet me when you have eggs retrieved and frozen. Otherwise, I am in the lab taking care of the eggs (fertilizing them, monitoring them, and assessing them to decide which eggs to transfer and which are suitable for cryopreservation). And of course, I also prepare sperm donor samples and thaw them from the freezer.
You might also see me for a blood draw or in other areas of the clinic.
I communicate in Danish, English, a little German, and Scandinavian (a mix of Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian).
I look forward to helping you realize your dream.
Henriette Rugholm Pedersen
Embryologist
My name is Henriette, and I completed my qualification as a bioanalyst in 1989. In the clinic, I work as an embryologist, and you can meet me when you come for egg retrieval or embryo transfer.
Together with my colleagues in the lab, I take great care of your eggs and sperm. I am a perfectionist in my work and am only satisfied when I know that I have done my best to help you become pregnant.
Additionally, I support our therapists during scanning procedures during egg retrieval. I am happy to hold your hand if you need it. Previously, I have worked both in diagnostics and in research.
I have also completed shorter professional assignments in New York and Greenland.
Trine Hansen
Egg donor Coordinator & Nurse
Laura Raahede Andersen
Midwife
My name is Laura, and I am a trained midwife. I have worked in Denmark, Norway, and Greenland as a labour ward midwife, where I have supported many pregnant women throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I also have experience with antenatal and gynaecological patients, and I thrive in an environment where care, calmness, and professionalism go hand in hand.
At the clinic, you will most likely meet me in connection with egg retrievals. You will also hear from me by phone, email, and during online or in-person consultations, where I will do my best to answer your questions and guide you safely through your treatment process.
I have also worked with development and quality improvement and am passionate about maintaining and expanding my professional skills. It is important to me to continuously find new and effective solutions for my colleagues – something I see as a key part of ensuring that you, as patients, have a safe, professional, and positive experience at the clinic.
The field of fertility has always been close to my heart, and I look forward to supporting you on your path to parenthood. I look forward to welcoming you – both those of you who live nearby and those who travel a bit further to come here.
Tabea Wicht
Nurse
My name is Tabea, and I completed my training as a registered nurse in 2020. I have several years of experience from a hematology transplant unit and have worked in gynecology. I speak Danish, German, and English.
You will meet me during consultations, in email and phone correspondence, as well as before, after, and sometimes during examinations.
Precision and quality in every detail are very important to me in my work. It matters to me that you feel safe and well-informed throughout the entire process, and I will do my best to answer all your questions. I place great emphasis on creating a trusting atmosphere so that you receive the best possible care from start to finish.
Alongside my work here at the clinic, I am studying to become a psychotherapist, which I hope will allow me to support you even better on the sometimes very long journey toward having a child.
I look forward to seeing you at the clinic!
